George Vidovic here with one of the first of what will be a run of continuing blog posts from myself outlining the good the bad and downright crazy things happening here at Python HQ! I hope you enjoy keeping up to date with the madness!
The journey of our iconic F100 has been an ever changing and dynamic one and we really hope you have enjoyed it so far. We’ve had this cool cruiser as part of our mechanical family for over six years but you could definitely say that we have given her a major re-birth as of late. This has come in the form of a major makeover. I’m talking a fresh coat of mat black paint, heavy 60’...
A chopper is a type of custom motorcycle that emerged in the USA in the mid-1960s. The chopper is perhaps the most radical of all custom motorbikes with its modified steering with large skewed angles and lengthened forks for its stretched out style.
They can be built from an original motorcycle which is modified ("chopped") or built from scratch. Some of the characteristic features of choppers are long front ends with extended forks often coupled with an increased rake angle with a hard tail. Lengthened or stretched frames, and larger than stock front wheels.
Here at Python Choppers we service and repair all sorts of bikes from your old skool choppers to your brand Ducati Monster 400. Over the years we have had some weird and wonderful cars come into the shop to be repaired and serviced.
But none as strange as the trike from Trike Tours Melbourne - This beast of a machine is a shiny chrome half bike half car. Having a small car engine with automatic gear box three seats and twist throttle this has got to be one of the strangest machines to come into the shop. But apart from these strange features we were able to put that aside and service the beast!
Recently our friends atUniversal Barbers(The Australian & New Zealand distributor for Suavecito) came into our unique shop to use our space for a photo shoot. It was a wild afternoon of fun with Elvis blaring over the speaker system in the shop and two photographers running around crazily taking thousands of photos.
There were product shots of SuavecitoPomade andmerchandise including hats, t-shirts, aftershave, combs and much more. Using the full scope of our shop as the back drop for the photo shoot. The BBQ was blaring at full heat as snags were distributed around and so were coffee's made by shop owner George Vidovic.
Here at Python Choppers choosing which motorcycle is right for you can be very difficult, with so many different sizes and styles to choose from. In fact I believe that many motorcycle enthusiasts feel that one simply isn’t enough.
Once you have decided that it’s time to purchase a motorcycle you need to answer some questions before going shopping. It’s important that you answer these questions honestly to avoid choosing a motorcycle that you won’t be happy with once you’ve made your purchase.
Here are the questions you should be asking yourself.

You can often see George around the streets of South Melbourne cruising on this bike with his bag slung over his shoulder off to pick up parts or off to see one of our partners for a meeting. It is a true member of Python putting in the hard yards around the streets of Melbourne.
'This is the workshop bike that has belonged to the Big Kahuna for over 25 years and has been his daily rider on and off for that time. It has been in a few magazines such as Heavy duty to mention one.
Originally painted pearl white in color and then it was decorated to flames. The bike was one of the very first Flame jobs that was attempted by owner George Vidovic. After that successful Flame job George flamed the workshop hoist nicknamed the LA hoist.
The bike continues to be one of the favorites in the shop often sitting out the front of the shop distracting drivers as they pass by down city road.
